Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF)

Wastewater Treatment Facility

The City of Porterville Wastewater Facility is designed to treat 8 million gallons of domestic wastewater per day. Wastewater is "used" water that goes down the drain when you flush the toilet, take a shower, wash your clothes or dishes.
Wastewater is treated and purified through mechanical and biological processes and eventually makes its way to supply farming operations 4.5 miles outside of town.
