5K Run - 5K Walk - 10K Run

The annual Veterans Day Run & Walk takes place each year on November 11 in Downtown Porterville.  With help from community partners, we can keep the fees affordable so everybody can join in.  Finish the race and stay for one of Porterville’s largest parades of the year.  Come for the race and enjoy the community.

Divisions
The race is chip timed so participants event time does not begin until they cross the starting line.  Each individual race is scored by gender and age using the following divisions: 
0-12  //  13- 15 //  16- 19 // 20- 29 // 30- 39 // 40- 49 // 50- 59 // 60- 69 // 70+

Can someone else pick up my race packet?  Yes!  You can send a proxy to collect your race items.

Swag
The 2022 race swag includes a long sleeved race shirt, reusable tote and commemorative bib.

Prizes
Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age category and prizes for the top overall male and female finisher in each event.  If you can't stay to pick up your prize, visit our office at 15 E. Thurman Ave., Suite A during normal business hours.

Shotgun Start
The race begins promptly at 7:30 AM on November 11, in front of Porterville's City Hall, 291 N. Main Street.  There is a Veterans Day parade immediately following the race so plan to park on side streets only.

Gear Check
Store your things during the race at the Centennial Park Gazebo. We will provide the bag and you can use the pull tag from your bib to label your loose items.

Tickets
There is no need to print the confirmation registration tickets unless you want it for your records. Your name has already been added to our attendee list.  You can also register in-person at 15 E. Thurman, Suite A.

Kid's Dash
After the shotgun start, kids can experience the excitement of crossing the finish line with our FREE kid's dash.  The dash is geared for ages 8 and under and is only a couple of blocks in distance.  It will take place right after participants head out on the course.  There is no pre-registration required.  Just report to the start/ finish line after the race starts at 7:30 AM to join in.
