The Porterville Rails to Trails Parkway is a converted right-of-way of the San Joaquin Valley Railroad through the town of Porterville. The arrow-straight trail runs between Henderson and Olive Avenues near downtown and features benches, lighted crosswalks with audible warnings, asphalt paving and a drinking fountain. The route provides a safe and convenient opportunity to walk, jog or bike.  Several trees were planted along the trail to enhance the route.  There is parking at several downtown public lots.
