Step Up Art Contest

The art contest is open to all students of Porterville area schools.  Participants are asked to design a banner with a different theme each year.  There were nearly 500 entries submitted for the 2019 contest.

The purpose of the contest is to promote the Step Up program, which has a gang awareness and suppression campaign and provides opportunities for youth to make positive contributions to their communities.

This year's contest asks participants to design a poster with an anti-gang theme.  Entry forms were due March 5 and winners were announced in May.
