Buy from Bus Driver

Passengers may pay a $1.50 cash fare each time they board the bus, or may choose from a variety of pass types that may be a more affordable option.

An All-Day Pass can be purchased from the bus driver for $3.00 and allows unlimited riders for the day on which it's first used. The All-Day Pass is valid on all Porterville Transit routes.

All fares and passes purchased on board require exact change. The drivers cannot make change.

Buy Online or at Transit Center

Multi-cay and 31-day passes are also available. They can be purchased online with a credit card and the pass will be mailed to you, or at the Porterville Transit Center.

Discounted Fares

Passengers aged 65 and older, those with a disability, and full-time students are entitled to discounted fares and passes. Children under 5 ride Porterville Transit for free.

Tips for Riders

Transit drivers cannot make change so have exact fare ready. Children must be at least 7 years of age to ride the bus without adult supervision. All transit buses are equipped with a wheelchair lift and securement system to serve passengers who are physically challenged. Limit your carry-on packages to the size and number you can easily handle. Strollers and carts must be folded before boarding the bus. Drivers cannot help passengers with carry-on packages. Buses arrive and depart from the Transit Center.
