There is more to the library than just books.  The library will be serving a free lunch Monday through Friday at 1pm to children, ages 18 and under, through a partnership with P.U.S.D. In addition to lunch, there will be fun games, activities, and educational components.  Thanks to the Kiwanis of Porterville for helping us provide a snack for caregivers. The "1,000 Books before Kindergarten Challenge" is a Porterville City Library program that encourages all families and caregivers to read at least 1,000 books with their young children before they enter Kindergarten.
